I disagree with airplane crashes being a financial problem. More likely an economic problem, as in how to minimize crash cost to airline both in the short term (victim compensation) and long term (bad publicity)

Are working individuals lives less important than customers and civilians? The answer is literally the last sentence in the video 11:24

I always love watching these statistic videos. I love/ hate the human psychology of how people weigh the risks involved with technology. some people will watch this video and say that is why I'm not going to fly but driving is much much more dangerous. It is the same with tech like EVs and alternative power. some people dont want to get an EV because a few have caught fire over the years but 1 in 8 fire responses are for a car fire. Humans are smart but people are dumb.

As I had worked at the airport for 19 years with a major airline, I understand very well what this video wanted to explain although fortunately I had never encountered such a tragedy where I had been working. However, I remember that one of my old colleagues had told me at that time about her " indirect" experience which had happened in 1970s...

Worldwide. A lot of flights are done with smaller planes, and as was said in the video, most accidents don't have more than a few casualties if at all. Those don't make good headlines, so you probably never hear about them.

Well, my biggest two flight incidents, is a rlly big bird flying into the turbine and basically blowing the thing up -> emergency crash landing at a near airport. Then two years ago the weels kinda twisted at the take off, so it already was a kinda rocky take off, the staff in the tower noticed and told the pilot, who tried to turn around to land again, which didn't work -> emergency crash landing on a field 20 miles away. I guess I have a reason to fear planes.
